The Small Family Collection consists of five photographs of Daniel Small Sr. that were emailed to the Iberia African American Historical Society’s Center for Research and Learning by donor Cynthia Small Antoine. The images were digitized by the family and document members of the Small family during the late twentieth and early twenty-first centuries.

In addition to Daniel Small Sr., the collection includes photographs connected to Clomas Thompson Small and Daniel Small Jr., reflecting intergenerational family relationships and local legacy. The collection holds particular community significance as Daniel Small Elementary School was named in honor of Daniel Small Jr., highlighting the family’s lasting impact on education and public life in Iberia Parish, Louisiana. These materials contribute to the preservation of contemporary African American family history and underscore the importance of family-led documentation and donation.
